The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) monthly measure shows annual inflation dropped to 4.3% in November 2023.
The ABS says this is the slowest annual rate of price rises since January 2022. This news provides further weight to the idea that the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has finished raising interest rates.
The RBA will meet for the first time in 2024 on Tuesday 6 February, announcing the Official Cash Rate to kick off 2024.
If inflation keeps tracking down in early 2024, we may be on track to see rate cuts begin by the end of the year. This will be welcomed news for all Homebuyers and Investors alike, likely increasing buyer confidence in an already hot Brisbane market to kick off 2024.
